G+S is happy to promote our sightseeing tours

G+S is doing several set tours and we can cater to specific destinations just for your group.  If you would like to take advantage of a specialized photography cruise, G+S has a professional photographer, Rob Cotton, on our team who would be happy to show you how to make the most of your photos in Tobermory.  Check out the Photo Cruises for more information.

Flowerpot Island Cruise

Towering cliffs, strange rock formations, numerous caves, dense forest, glens, meadows, and flowers all surrounded by crystal clear water make Flowerpot Island one of the best attractions on the Peninsula.

For more information about the island, visit tobermory.org.

The G+S boat will depart from Little Tub Harbour for a 2 hour cruise.  The highlight of this cruise will be a tour around Flowerpot Island.

The cost is $25/person.  Larger groups (up to 12 people) will have the entire boat to themselves.  Perfect for kids groups, large family groups, and groups of friends.

Cove Island Lighthouse Tour

The Cove Island light was first lit on October 30, 1858, following a delay in the shipping of the lens from France. The fuel first used was sperm whale oil! Today the light is electrically powered thanks to a submarine power cable linking Cove Island to Tobermory.

For more information about the lighthouse, visit tobermory.org.

The G+S boat will depart from Little Tub Harbour for a 2 hour cruise.  The highlight of this cruise will be a tour of the east shore of Cove Island and the Lighthouse at the northern end.

The cost is $25/person.  Larger groups (up to 12 people) will have the entire boat to themselves.  Perfect for kids groups, large family groups, and groups of friends.

The Sweepstakes

Sweepstakes (also known as Sweeps) was a Canadian schooner built in Burlington, Ontario in 1867. It was damaged off Cove Island then towed to Big Tub Harbour, where it sank in September 1885. The remains of Sweepstakes lie in Big Tub Harbour.

For more information about the Sweepstakes, visit our dive sites map.

The G+S boat will depart from Little Tub Harbour for a 45-minute cruise.  This option is perfect for anyone with limited time.  The highlight of this cruise will be the shipwreck itself.  You may see divers or snorkelers while you are there.  You can feed the ducks and look for fish.  The Sweepstakes is a "must see" while in Tobermory and is not accessible from shore because it is all private property.

The cost is $15/person.  Larger groups (up to 12 people) will have the entire boat to themselves.  Perfect for kids groups, large family groups, and groups of friends.

Customized for your group

Every year G+S is host to the local kids groups.  We take all three of our boats to a different location and moor them together to have a barbeque on the boats and see the area we call home from a different point of view.  Let us take you and your group or family on a sightseeing adventure that is all your own.  Each boat holds a maximum of 12 for a total maximum of 36 people.  Call to get group pricing and potential location suggestions.
